…and it was always wonderful visiting her cousin, especially in the spring, when everything came alive, so suddenly it seemed when the colors just seemed to burst from the ground, a surprise to her eyes every spring, such joy being around, being in the midst, of all the vibrant colors, with their laughter and singing so it seemed.  And this spring was especially joyous as her cousin, taking her by both hands when she arrived, told her, after taking her to the garden, to see the flowers, to feel the sun, to see and smell the ocean alive and sparkling in the sunlight, she told her that also she was alive with a new life inside, growing but not yet moving that she could feel, but the joy she could feel within seemed to sparkle in her cousin’s eyes like diamonds, like the sparkling of the ocean below them, condensed and captured within her eyes, for the new life, for the words of joy singing from her mouth, her lips, the servant of spring, speaking and whispering the colors of the spring into the calm, warming air.
