As I Begin to Write this, the Sun Came Out Behind Me and Flooded the Yard with Sunlight

Коли я починаю це писати, сонце вийшло за мною і затопило двір сонячним світлом

It is a cool day, cloudy, with dark clouds capable of providing rain.  It isn’t a cloud cover of just one solid grey, but of a mixture of greys and cloud shapes – and as I begin to write this, the sun came out behind me and flooded the yard with sunlight with the clouds still covering the sky.  I paused in my writing, took my phone and took photos of the beautiful sight in the sky and the sunlight hitting the garden, to send to our friends in Ukraine, I thought after a while, as a way of encouragement, with words that my international prayer group is still praying for them and a just end to the war, and that I am always thinking of my friends in Ukraine. 

Це прохолодний день, похмурий, з темними хмарами, здатними забезпечити дощ.  Це не хмарний покрив лише одного суцільного сірого, а суміш сірих і хмарних форм – і коли я починаю це писати, сонце вийшло за мною і заполонило двір сонячним світлом хмарами, які все ще вкривають небо. Я зробив паузу в написанні, взяв телефон і сфотографував прекрасне видовище на небі і сонячне світло, що потрапляє в сад, щоб послати нашим друзям в Україні, я подумав через деякий час, як спосіб підбадьорення, словами, що моя міжнародна молитовна група все ще молиться за них і справедливе закінчення війни,  і що я завжди думаю про своїх друзів в Україні. 

Soon after I took the photos, the moving clouds soon erased the sunlight and now it is back to being a cold day – for us – 51°F, wind 9 mph due north, and 60% rain forecasted to start in less than an hour.  I seem to have come outside at just the right time for the Lord to part the clouds so that I could take the photos of the sky and garden to think of my friends in Ukraine and pray for them and to provide photos for a posting, again with text in English and Ukrainian.  How blessed is that!

Незабаром після того, як я зробив фотографії, рухомі хмари незабаром стерли сонячне світло, і тепер він повернувся до холодного дня – для нас – 51 ° F, вітер 9 миль / год через північ, і 60% дощу, за прогнозами, почнуться менш ніж за годину.  Здається, я вийшов на вулицю в потрібний час, щоб Господь розлучив хмари, щоб я міг зробити фотографії неба та саду, щоб подумати про своїх друзів в Україні та помолитися за них та надати фотографії для публікації, знову ж таки з текстом англійською та українською мовами.  Яке це благословенне!

A mockingbird sings loudly in the high holly bush growing next to the kitchen wall.  Perhaps the cold weather helps to make his calls and song so crisp and loud and clear.  And his song…

Пересмішний птах голосно співає у високому гостролистому кущі, що росте поруч зі стіною кухні.  Можливо, холодна погода допомагає зробити його дзвінки і пісню такими чіткими і гучними і ясними.  І його пісня…

…It is beginning to drizzle now, so now I will put the cushions back in the garage and go inside – 11:51 a.m. – basically just as forecast, just as “they” said it would.

…Зараз він починає мрякати, тому зараз я поставлю подушки назад в гараж і зайду всередину – 11:51 ранку – в основному так само, як і прогноз, так само, як “вони” сказали.
